Is this song exist in 12" extended version ?Has it ever released on maxi single ?

It has been released as a 12" at this awful old but gold series, double A sided 12" with generic sleeve with Enola Gay and Electricity (Gold Old recs), both tracks appear on the 7inch versions of course. Not worth buying.

I don't believe so. Pretty sure that it's only ever been released as a 7". just like Depeche Mode's "Dreaming of Me".

One of the funny things about this particular release and it's limited edition of 5,000, is that it was never intended to be a limited edition. Due to the intense heat required during the printing of the sleeves, the printing press actually caught fire. After the third time this happened the printers called it a day and wouldn't continue with the order.

I too have heard this story and that it also meant that only around 3k copies were actually pressed. Who knows....

The most authentic piece of synth-pop before reaching the 80's barrier of labels. This single cannot be touched with the groundbreaking sounds and compassion of early electronic music. Its no wonder Peter Saville gave his best artwork for this single other than what's mentioned in the well-done detailed notes from above mentioned.

This single was previously released in May, 1979 on Factory Records (FAC 6). "Electricity" on that version was produced by Paul Collister and OMD, while "Almost" was produced by Factory producer Martin Hannett. The first edition of this Dindisc version - released in September, 1979 - had both tracks produced by Martin Hannett (under the name Martin Zero). A second edition of the Dindisc version came out in April, 1980, with both tracks replaced by versions produced by Chester Valentino and OMD.
